DIY: Makeup Brush Holder

Create your own makeup brush holder with used candles!
This DIY will organize those makeup brushes in no time. These brush holders can also be gifted to the makeup lovers in your life!
An Empty Candle Jar
If you're like me, you LOVE candles especially ones from Bath & Body Works. WAIT - don't throw them out! This is one of the many ways you can use an empty candle jar. When you have under an inch of wax left in the jar, simply place the jar in the freezer over night to remove the wax easily. Safely use a knife to cut out the solid wax pieces.

TIP: If you don't have an empty candle jar, hit up your local dollar store!
Paint Brushes
These paint brushes serve an important purpose! They will help with glue application, and personally, I believe using the sponge brush was the easiest. Visit your local arts and crafts store to seek more options.

TIP: Soak your brush right after use or else it will harden like the one above.
Glitter & Glue
This is when your personality can shine! It's time to choose your coloured glitter and grab some glitter glue. Apply an even layer of glitter glue along the inside of the clean jar. It is important to find a glue that dries clear. Then, pour glitter into the jar over a piece of wax paper and roll it around to completely cover the inside. Pour the excess glitter into its container and let the jar dry over night.

TIP: Choose a coarse glitter for extra shine & let the jar dry upside down to prevent the glue and glitter combo from clumping.
Beads or Pearls
Once completely dry you may now add beads or pearls into the jar about 2/3 of the way up. Place your brushes in the jar and choose a place to display! These plastic beads were from Michael's but you can choose anything your heart desires.

Voila!
I hope you enjoy this DIY as much as I did. I've gifted makeup brush holders to friends and family. Hopefully, you'll never have to throw away an empty candle jar again!
